Ordering Information: To order correctly, refer to catalog number. Orders should be mailed directly to Diversified Furniture Industries 181 East Union Ave, East Rutherford, NJ, 07073 or faxed to (201) 623-2004. The dealer assumes responsibility to supply correct information when placing a verbal order and must confirm the order in writing. If the dealer fails to confirm the verbal order, Diversified Furniture assumes no responsibility for shipping discrepancies. To place an order or inquire about an order call (201) 623-2000.
Pricing: All prices listed are suggested retail prices F.O.B. East Rutherford, NJ. Prices and specifications are subject to change without prior notice. Possession of Diversified literature or price list does not constitute an offer to sell.
Terms: All merchandise is invoiced at time of shipment, 2 % 10 days, net 30 days. No anticipation or freight discounts allowed. Payments extending beyond 30 days are subject to interest charges of 1 ½% per month (18% per annum). When enforced collection becomes necessary, the customer is liable for collection fees and attorney costs.
Wood Samples: Wood and laminate samples provided attempt to represent the color and finish of our products. However, due to many variables in manufacturing a match of the samples cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the product that arrives may be different than the sample. The customer assumes the responsibility for the sale. We suggest when color and finish is key, to purchase a sample product from Diversified.
Storage: If delivery cannot be accepted upon agreed date, the company has the right to store merchandise at the expense and risk of customer. Invoices are dated the day the merchandise is placed in storage.
Shipping Information: All merchandise is carefully packaged for shipment. Title of goods passes to purchaser and our responsibility ceases when shipment is accepted for transportation by any carrier from our warehouse. A $3.00 handling charge will be added to each package shipped via UPS. A $5.00 additional handling charge is added to most UPS shipments due to UPS requirements. Our traffic department will establish carrier routing if not indicated on purchaser’s order. Carefully inspect all shipments before acceptance. If shipment is received damage, note damage on carrier freight bill at time of acceptance and file claim for appropriate damages from the carrier. Concealed damage must be reported to the Transportation Company within 15 days because carrier’s liability ceases 15 days after delivery. All damage claims must be filed directly with the delivering carrier. We cannot accept responsibility for products damaged in transit nor can we accept return products damaged in transit.
Returns: No merchandise will be accepted for return without a RAN (Return Authorization Number) from Diversified Furniture. After receipt of RAN, returned merchandise must be shipped prepaid and is subject to a 20% restocking fee. All returned merchandise must be in its original carton. For Third Party Customers: should you elect to allow your customer to return merchandise after Diversified has declined the request, you are subject to the following costs associated with the transaction: #1. Pay the current cost of a call tag if coming back via UPS/FedEx plus a $5.00 processing fee. #2. Pay all costs associated with shipping the merchandise back to Diversified. #3. Pay a 20% restocking fee for the returned merchandise. #4. Return the merchandise in the original carton and in good condition for resale. Should the item not be suitable for resale by Diversified, no credit will be issued.
Warranty: DFI (Diversified Furniture Industries) warrants for a period of 5 years to the original purchaser that every wood product is free form defects in workmanship and material, under normal use and service. DFI’s obligation under this warranty is limited to the replacement or repair, at DFI’s option, completely without charge for material or labor, of any part found defective by DFI. Shipping charges remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
